Background

Steve Mills took up photography when he found that it helped him deal with the symptoms of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. He said: “Being creative has allowed me to venture outside of my home. Without my camera I feel so vulnerable. Being outside clears my head and gives me all the health benefits I need. The feeling I get looking back at my images as I am uploading them onto my PC is fantastic. A feel-good factor and sense of achievement makes everything worthwhile.

“The photograph I have chosen to exhibit is of my safe place. This is where I go when I need some time out. I have this photograph on my wall at home; sometimes just looking at it is enough to bring me back.”
